What to Bring
We will be hiking the better part of two days, so bring only what you really need to keep your load light.
Everyone needs to have:
Communal Items
Everyone needs to have:
- Hiking shoes or boots (worn, NOT new to avoid break-in blisters)
- Comfortable backpack. Consider loading and practicing with your pack to ensure it's comfortable.
- 2 liters water. A water bladder (CamelBak) is convenient, but bottles will work as well.
- Synthentic wear (including what you're wearing):
- 1 pair pants
- 1 t-shirt
- 1 long-sleeve shirt
- 1 insulated jacket
- 1 rain jacket
- 2 pair socks (1 worn, 1 in the pack)
- Sun hat
- Sunglasses
- Bandana
- Fully-charged cell phone
- Wallet with just the basics - ID, credit/maestro card, cash
- Basic first aid: band-aids, ibuprofen, blister care
- Any necessary meds
- Lunch for day 1 and 2
- Small energy snacks like nuts, trail mix, fruit bars, etc
- Personal care items including sunscreen
